I am so excited to finally reveal my website and blog, and embark on the adventure of my summer! It has been a long and often challenging road to get to where I am now, but I’ve finally managed to finish the site, and am just a week away from hitting the road.
Planning on regular meditations to help find my clarity and decide on a name, using beach time to write, and the lazy, dark nights to finalize the details and design, I had set a goal for myself that I would have the site/blog live by the end of my trip to Hawaii. Though I struggled through it at times, I finally finished it on my second-to-last day there. On that thrilling day, this is also what my daily horoscope read:
“A full year of hard work has helped you to achieve a personally fulfilling goal. Chances are good you’re surrounded by fans and media now, but as soon as you can fit it in, start thinking about a title for the book you’ll feel eminently qualified to write.”
After agonizing for weeks on the name alone, not to mention the design and details, I finally made a breakthrough just before leaving Maui, so I am happy to share the name – www.lifeunleeshed.com.
On the bumpy road to my final decisions (on traveling and the website) I couldn’t have done it without the help of some wonderful friends and family, so I’d like to take a minute to thank everyone who’s helped me, and give special thanks to a few of my key supporters.
First off, Jessica, I couldn’t have imagined pulling this off without you! From encouraging me to go on this trip, to inspiring me with your own blog, to supporting me emotionally and technically through the naming and building of my website, you have been an incredible friend through it all. Thank you for fearlessly being yourself, living your dream, and owning your psychic abilities!
Next, I am so grateful for my beautiful Mama! I was perhaps most nervous to tell you of this plan, but you turned out to be my most unwavering cheerleader. The time we’ve spent together was a wonderful way for me to start my trip. Thank you for talking me up, calming me down, listening to me ramble, reading my writings, and being one of my biggest fans! I am so blessed to have a mom like you.
Megan, you are my soul sister. For all of our hours-long conversations, you have always found a way to relate to me on all levels, through all of my ups and downs. When it felt like my life restarted at 20, I couldn’t have imagined going through it all without your love and support. No matter the distances or differences, you’re absolutely one of my great loves.
For both my sisters, I love all of our memories growing up together and look forward to all of our futures, separately and together. Thank you both for your relentless pursuit of your dreams; you’ve been models of perseverance, and have given me a family that I know can and will survive any challenges thrown our way. And Ashlyn, the resonating sound memory of you saying my name (LeeSHA!) help inspired the name of my website and makes me feel loved and hopeful no matter where I’m at.
Michelle, you have been an inspiration in pursuing my dream to travel and ignore any naysayers I’ve encountered along the way. Our conversations help me work out my thoughts, and your confidence in me has helped me find certainty in every step I take. I look forward to when our paths will cross again, but know that no matter how long it takes, we will always have each other!
Ryan F., your endless energy and positive enthusiasm for all of life brings sunshine to my life, and your brilliant mind and unfailing pursuit of your own happiness reminds me that there is always joy to be found. Your understanding of my madness and variability is incredible, and I am forever appreciative of it.
John V., thank you for listening to my incessant back and forth’s on everything from work, to traveling, to stuff for my website. I am beyond grateful for the patience you’ve shown me and the space you held for me to read, write, paint, and meditate.
Alisia, my name soul sister, you make me feel empowered as a woman and a psychic. I have absolutely loved how our relationship has grown over the years, and being able to witness your personal growth is inspiring and delightful.
Ben R., you have been an inspiration to me with your artistic abilities and pursuit of your creative dreams. In addition to always sharing music that I fall in love with, you gave me a push in the right direction when I was felt stuck.
Jeremy O., the words you have shared and your input have helped inspire me and bridge the gap of indecision.
And finally, Jenine B., Margie B., and the entire RPI group that I’ve been lucky to go through the program with. You are all amazing in your own right, and your insights and individual paths have helped guide me through even the roughest of growth periods. I am honored to be part of such an incredible group.
Thank you everyone!
