Hanging out around Tahoe for the week, I've officially returned from the summer expedition I had planned and set out for months ago. As my trip began to draw to a close, I began reflecting on all that has happened over the summer, the events that led me to where I am now, the transformations that have taken place, and the people who have blessed me with their presence in my life. I began reaching out to some of the key players to share my gratitude for their involvement, and as our connections continue to develop, I cannot express how grateful I am for everyone who has been so influential to me.
I also cannot believe how time has flown by, and though my summer trip has ended, I know the adventures will continue through my time in Tahoe with my family, the wedding extravaganza I get to participate in next weekend, and into September when I embark on the next chapter of my journey. I may not be on the road for a while quite as much as I have been, but as I continue to float from place to place and bounce between the big events that mark the end of the summer, I've discovered a degree of happiness that I can carry with me wherever I go and through whatever 'roadbumps' I may encounter.
Winding down from the summer and up for the future, and surrounded by milestones such as engagements, weddings, babies, and reunions, I've been in a state of reflection and contemplation about stories, travels, and life; and upon returning to Reno/Tahoe, my friends, my family, I've been sharing and learning about what has happened over the summer and what is going to happen now that it's over. Although I've been internally stockpiling the stories of my journey, I've often been left in a state of speechlessness (at times, also known as writer's block!), unable to formulate quite what I've wanted to say, so with a little downtime ahead, I'm looking forward to sharing, and hearing, stories from the past couple months.
Ultimately, every journey is one that takes place as inwardly as it does outwardly, and mine would not have been what it was if it weren't for the incredible people who crossed my path, the ups and downs that forced me to look deeper, and the experiences that found ways to shake up my perceptions. I am so grateful to everyone in my life, to the magical ways of the universe, and to the opportunities I was able to discover; thank you all, and I hope you have all had wonderful summers yourself! I look forward to unleeshing the stories, the photos, and the music that shaped my summer. Cheers!
